Aubrey Plaza

Aubrey Plaza (born June 26, 1984) is a performer, comedian, and is known for exuding her humor in a deadpan style. April Ludgate plays her on Parks and Recreation. Her web series debut was the Jeannie Tate Show in which she appeared in improv, sketch and slapstick at Upright Citizens Brigade Theater Plaza. The show continued to grow with her appearances in Funny People by Judd Apatow and Scott Pilgrim, vs. World. Her birth should be celebrated today. Aubrey Christina Plaza (born in Wilmington Delaware) is the daughter Bernadette Plaza, who is an lawyer by trade and David Plaza a financial consultant. Their father was Puerto Rican while her mother is Irish as well as English. Plaza has received her education at an all girls Catholic institution in the year 2002, and the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University in 2006. In her senior year of high school, she served as president of the Student Council at her all-girls Catholic school as well as a participant in Wilmington Drama League performances. When she was during her sophomore year of college, Plaza was struck by a stroke, which resulted in her being diagnosed with expressive aphasia and a period of paralysis. Today, she's completely recovered. Plaza has been performing improv sketch comedy and a myriad of other styles at Upright Citizens Brigade Theater New York City in 2004. The New York location has seen Plaza done stand-up comics at The Improv as well as the Laugh Factory. Plaza was in E.S.P.N.'s Mayne Street & The Jeannie Tate Show as the role of Robin Gibney and was also in the role of Ben Schwartz, as well being a character on Robin Gibney for the premiere episode of Terrible Decisions. Troopers on CollegeHumor was where Plaza played the role of Princess, a satirical Sci-Fi roleplaying character. Plaza first made her appearance on the saxophone with Cassorla's Bona Fide. She made her debut in Father John Misty's Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings 'in 2012. Then on HarmonQuest in 2016, Plaza played Hawaiian Coffee, a gnome. Also, she portrayed Aaron Burr in Drunk History as well as Cat Adams for Season 11 of the C.B.S. Criminal Minds. Her triumphant return to the character was featured in Season 12 In the following year, it was confirmed that Plaza will be appearing in the indie comedy An Evening with Beverly Luff Linn.
